The support for Firefox and Opera was improved particularly in respect of optics and handling. Also Chrome and Safari are now supported.
WMACCESS was tested with the current, stable versions of the five browsers under Windows, partly also under Linux.
For the display of hints like "The hit list is empty" you must allow popups.
From February 1st, wmView, wmProfile and user-specific query profiles provide the option to record a query reference with up to 15 alphanumeric characters.
This query reference is stated on our monthly invoices.
The sum of all performed queries and incurred costs for each query reference individually chosen by you
is stated on a separate attachment to the invoice.
An example can be seen on page 4 of our
sample invoice
(quick view).
This allows the allocation of the costs for the performed queries to your individual clients, for example in the event of a voluntary declaration.
The query reference recorded for a search is displayed in the hit lists as well as detail displays and can thus be seen on all print-outs.
The query reference is bound to the window (wmView, wmProfile or user profiles) and in the event of a change of the query profiles is transferred within one window. It is therefore not necessary to enter the query reference for every single search.
The query reference is not an obligatory field. Queries that were made without reference are summarised under "*Not specified*" on the attachment to the invoice.
The additional attachment to the invoice is only sent if at least one query reference was used within the billing period.
This additional function is available at no charge.
On February 21, 2011 the 64. WM Release will become effective. We would like to inform you about some upcoming alterations beforehand.
No data fields will be frozen with this WM Release.

Special information from January 17, 2010 about income adjustment procedure
WM Datenservice has expanded the provision of price data for investment fund prices & interim profits. From October 18, 2010 fund prices are provided 7 times a day. The additional provision happens between 02:00 PM and 02:30 PM, which means that prices and tax data from approx. 4,000 funds are available approx. 2 to 2½ hours sooner than before.
In the field of the portfolio group administration, used for portfolio-related queries
in WMACCESS, the number of the currently unknown securities is displayed.
This information is particularly helpful immediately after uploading new securities. If for example many ISINs were uploaded,
the tab "Details" immediately after saving the portfolio group will display the number of ISINs, which are currently not (yet) available
in our WMACCESS database.
Display of the number of the currently unknown ISINs of the chosen portfolio group.
On October 18, 2010 the 63. WM Release will become effective. We would like to inform you about some upcoming alterations beforehand.
The two data fields GD190 security group and GD195 security type will be frozen and thus no more updated for existing securities
and no more provided for newly opened instruments.
For several years already, the expert search in the securities master data query profile has provided the option to use the EFIC
WM fields (Enhanced Financial Instruments Classification) that were introduced in the year 2005 as search criteria.
Soon we will include two of these data fields, GD198B product group segmenting and GD198C instrument type into the standard search function.

Due to altered licence conditions of the Deutsche Börse AG and STOXX Ltd., index weightings are no longer available in the securities master data within WMACCESS.
This concerns the data fields GV333 to GV347 (index content components), as well as GV791 and GV792 (index component indices).
The partial fields "amount", "dimension" and "weighing factor" will be deleted within the scope of the 62. WM Release on June 28, 2010 for the abovementioned data fields as regards content.
The allocation of a financial instrument to an index and the index components in an index are not affected - only the weighting of a financial instrument within the indices will be omitted.
Due to weekly backup and maintenance works, WMACCESS so far was not available from Wednesday 11:30 PM to Thursday 07:00 AM, as well as from Saturday 10:45 PM to Sunday 08:45 AM.
Thanks to our new and powerful WMACCESS hardware we could reduce this downtime by 6½ hours.
The new WMACCESS downtime for backup and maintenance works:
After implementing the near time data supply for WMACCESS on March 8, we have made another investment. On the evening of March 3, 2010 a new WMACCESS server was taken into operation. The powerful hardware of the latest generation provides even shorter response times, even in the event of complex and very comprehensive queries.
So far only the investment fund prices (including interim, equity and property profits etc.) were updated with a total of six data supplies between 7:00 AM and 9:30 PM. From now on WMACCESS will also be supplied with securities master data and corporate actions data five times a day. This intraday update takes place every day at about 07:15 AM, 11:15 AM, 2:15 PM, 4:15 PM and 6:15 PM.
The neartime data supply is provided for the following data segments:
The corporate actions data are delivered without general text (WM-fields KD998, UD998, VD998). In the evening, as usual, the complete data are supplied.
The master data profile for new instruments comprises the following WM-fields:
Since January 1, 2009 the term interest of the Income Tax Act in its version from January 1, 2009 can no longer be used for the identification of the reporting obligation within the scope of the German Interest Information Regulation (ZIV).
Against this background a distinction between reportable coupon payments and reportable income from alienations, assignments, repayments, or encashment of securities (sales profits) must be performed.
These as well as further relevant WM fields can be inquired in the profile EU Interest Information Regulation. Fund-specific information like the classification or the current percentage of the liabilities in the fund's assets, the basis for the classification from the EU Interest Information Regulation as well as the consideration in the event of distributions or alienations and encashments can be inquired in the query profile Investment Fund Characteristics.
CPB Software (Germany) GmbH offers a solution adapted to the legal requirements of the reporting year 2009. The necessary securities master data are taken directly from WMACCESS.
SECTRAS SIR for the German Interest Information Regulation (ZIV)
The interest information report can be integrated into the IT-scenery of a domicile as an independent component. As an alternative, we offer the performance of the interest information report as a service. Contact us for further information.
With the 61st WM release many WM fields are frozen which were considered e. g. for the determination of taxable bases until the introduction of the flat rate withholding tax from December 31, 2008.
Frozen WM fields like GD551 (half-income assessment method) or EV045 (amount liable to interest rebate tax) are no longer updated and supplied for new instruments or current corporate actions. As regards to older data sets, especially in the field of income date, these frozen fields on older legal frame conditions, however, can still be of interest.
For better optical distinction in the detail display frozen fields are now presented in a lighter text colour as shown in the following example ED215.
On February 22, 2010 the 61st WM release will become effective. We would like to inform you in advance about some of the upcoming alterations.
In the year 2008 it was announced in the expert information report 07/2008 "Reorganisierter WM-Datenausweis im Rahmen der Einführung der Abgeltungsteuer" (Reorganised WM data display within the scope of the introduction of the flat rate withholding tax) that many WM fields will be frozen. This has now been implemented with the 61st release.
In order to enable our customers to further view these frozen fields of older data sets, we will soon perform some minor alterations to the detail display.
In the recent weeks and months we have intensively worked on the new design of the WMACCESS website regarding content and look. Today we are happy to be able to present you with much new information. An English version is also being planned and will be implemented later.
The objective of our new website, besides the integration of many additional pictures and illustrations on various WMACCESS modules, is also to provide more information about our optional services and products. These particularly include the Monitoring of WM data as well as the Provision of individual data feeds
An extensive collection of Frequently asked questions and their answers is also part of the new contents of our relaunched website.
We look forward to every Feedback, be it criticism, compliment or suggestion.
With the interim release of the 60th release on November 30, 2009 new fields were introduced also in WMACCESS. A short overview of the new fields is provided in the following list:
The search mask for investment fund prices / interim profits was completed by two function buttons.
Both new buttons allow a fast selection of all check boxes (rate types). A click on the button "Deselect all" now makes it easier for a targeted search for a particular rate type.
The second function extension concerns the portfolio group administration, used for portfolio-related queries in WMACCESS. So far only an upload from ISINs was possible - from now on the user can select whether the upcoming procedure concerns ISINs (default) or WKNs.
